The National Elf Service has teamed up with the Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health (ACAMH) to help evaluate their website.

The website contains a wealth of resources about CAMH research and training.  We want to help them ensure that their great content is accessible to and usable by its intended audience.

We are looking for CAMHs professionals, educators, researchers and carers who can help with this usability testing.  We’d like to interview you about how you search online for research information, and record your interactions with particular websites.

We’ll use this information to identify usability issues with the organisation’s website, and develop our broader understanding of how people search for and use evidence about key CAMH topics.

Participants will be paid £50 for their involvement, which will comprise a Zoom call of around 45 minutes.

I am an information scientist with an interest in making knowledge from systematic research more accessible to people who need it. This means you. I've been attempting this in the area of Evidence-Based Health Care since 1995. So far the results have been mixed. For some reason we expected busy clinicians to search databases and appraise papers instead of seeing patients. We also expected publishers to make the research freely available to the people who paid for it.. Ha! Hence The National Elf service.
